Since 1976 hundreds of dedicated volunteers with their sponsors, teachers, and investors have worked to protect these farm and forest lands as a living classroom and learning watershed.

Together with a diverse and wise team of advisors, our steady progress could not have been accomplished without support from the Bullitt Foundation, the Lamb Foundation, the Tissa Stein Trust –and particularly and amazingly the vision and resources of Paul G. Allen and the Paul G. Allen Forest Protection Foundation.

We wish to thank a very large team of Volunteers, that has spent countless hours building and maintaining structures, repairing fences, hosting events, pulling invasive weeds over hundreds of acres, herding and loving animals, while making music, having fun ….and learning along the way.

Lovins, Joshua Mailman, the Bullitt Foundation, the Lamb Foundation, the Tissa Stein Trust and many others–BUT particularly and amazingly the vision and resources of Paul G. Allen and the Paul G.
